It was a last minute for this Korea Trip, was still remember vividly that I planned trip itinery with Inge few days before we flew off to Korea but everything turns out just nice, was hope to have more time in Seoul though but so far the trip was a memorable one.

This post was was started in the hostel that we stayed in Sokcho but I have not have enough time to post the blog by then, so this will be a blog about the trip from Busan, Gyeongju to Seoul before we gotten here in Sokcho;)

It was FEELING SO FUCKING AWESOME when we first landed in Busan, everything was different, and it was a strange thing that it was a totally an alien city to me, the people, the language. The very vivid memory on this was we had to spent almost an hour to just buy a phone sim card in the airport. It was funny how they are trying to make us understand in Korean and we both felt like an complete idiots when we just converse in English and none Korean.

was manage to pick up a bus to Busan from airport. The town as we passed through was like a landscape itself, beautiful blends in with the mountains behind and everything seems so new.

Meandering in the narrow street in Busan and surrounded by all these narrow and low rise shop lots was pretty interesting, one thing that perhaps attracted me was all the Korean signs that pops out from the shops with full of alien Korean language, it's become a beauty of the street instantly. Although there are the similar things in China but the differences perhaps lays on the proportion here was just nice, and was not as giant and monstrous scale as it was in China and a whole lot more well maintain

and I love this cozy restaurant the moment I walked in.

The street beauty: the pop-out the Korean Signages Billboards, the shops, stalls and everything seems so pack and just fittingly nice.

The next day, we went to our next plan which was the Baemosa Tmeple one of the famous temple in Busan located at the mountain and the weather of the day was just perfect.Although it was far and tiring but mountain for several hours to here but we were glad that we did it because we had known a good folk here when we first reach to the mountain. It was really touching that the people here are really helpful, and this Ajusi is willing to spend his whole day guiding us to Baemosa Temple, and of course the journey throughout the day was a bliss, the aroma of the nature smell, the aerial city view, the chats:)

Ajusi shared half of his home cook lunch with us, it's real tasty:)

There were apparently 4 gates of such in this mountain and this is one of them before we enter into the Baemosa Temple Realm.

Baemosa Temple

The Korean Bbq Dinner. One of the best dinner that we had in Busan so far. We had a long chat with Ajusi and of course I was so drunk because Ajusi kept asking me to drink white wine with him and apparently if is rude if you reject to drink in Korea. So it was several bottle of white wines were finished by both of us. Though we really enjoyed it and one good thing about Korean food is that you can have indefinite refill of side dishes when you finished them. This was probably one of the major "like" of the Korean foods.

We then rushed to Coop's latest design Busan Cinema Centre, I just felt so great that I manage to see this near to completion building, the world longest cantilever just looks amazing, but it was a let down because the design is so similar with the BMW Welt in Munich, Germany. Probably I had expected more or I had expected too much from him.

It was the last night that we had in Busan. Of Course, I wish that we could stay there longer because the city just just so beautiful, loving the city and the sea and there are loads more of places that I have yet to visit. It was a shame that we spent so lil time with our host in Busan, Andrew is definitely a cool guy, it's great to met his friend in the house, and had a long chat about tatoo, and stuffs. erm I think I did said that I wish to get one tatoo long time before, but well we will see.

GYEONGJU

Bulguksa Temple.

It was like an amazing race, we spent like less then an hour to visit this entire World Heritage temple, carrying our heavy bags, pictures were shot in ultra speed, it was crazy. We then off to another temple by bus and we were nearly missed it. It was funny that Inge actually left her Korea Tour Book in the toilet and she needs to get it back in the Female toilet when we were running back to the bus station. We were nearly convinced ourselves that we missed the bus to the other temple, but luckily we manage to catch one

The old cave temple was protected by this building and it was a shame that we are not allow to take any picture of the buddha.

After all the hassles and rushing around this city, we took the FREE SHUTTLE bus from GyeongJu to Seoul. It was so cool Korea is having this free shuttle bus from Seoul to other part of the city for 2 years under This Tour Korea Plan. and I gotta thanks to Inge for this great discovery, though just before we get in the bus we made a mistake on the travel time between Gyeongju to Seoul, instead of 2 hours which we though it would, the trip was actually taking 5 hours or more.So we by the time we reach to Seoul at about 9pm at night, we were really late and miss the appointment with our Seoul Couch Host which was supposed to be at 6pm . We felt really bad to have making him waited us for so long, and there were a great awkwardness between us but I am glad in spite of all these he still allow us to stay at his house for a night and bring us out to a club but that night we were really hungry because we did not have time to had any dinner other than some Chips and alcohol drinks that we manage to grab in the bar.

well next stop will be SOKCHO that I am yet to discover;)

It's been more than a week that I have left Beijing to Hangzhou for work. It very intense and stress for the first few sleepless days for everything was just a mess yet it ends up fun of finishing everything up. I am glad.

Not manage to go to many sites but been to a really good local restaurant and to the Xi Hu Music Water fountain :)

The Grandmother's Kitchen that we went another night and the foods were cheap and were freak-ish delicious ;)

Its been such a fun time in Beijing that I have known u guys Sven Ekert and Paul, at least when I recall my Beijing life it wouldn't be just work work and work how boring is that haha. But as usual people will always move forward and leave when the time comes, it's a really sad to say farewell but I am wishing you guys best of luck in your future endeavors. Hopefully we will meet again somewhere in this planet.

The Birthday which was supposed to be a total surprise but ended up not so surprise at all because, we are bit clumsy when we are getting the cake and birthday gift out. But it was great because it was actually the picture singer and Sven birthday today and a birthday song sang from this singer wasn't quite like what we had listen before, the melodies just wonderful:)

Taking like 5 hours from home to this place is freaking worth it, but its just too bad that not all the great walls are allowed to climb as they are all broken in parts and freaking tall but we just don't care about the danger sign n get on top of this Majestic beast. ;)

and got lots of bruises when I climb down because i freaking slipped on road... but it's worth it ;)

Although it was a belated birthday celebration but it was fun that we had a good Malaysian dinner (although it wasn't sooo great but the taste was still there) had few drinks and champaign from Csers and gotten really drunk. Have never been night out for so long and can't describe how happy I am. Celebrating people from different part of the world tonight in Beijing City was just so cool.

It was just a normal day, had a dinner outside of JianWai Soho after ages, and while one the way back I was being ditch ad needs to get back to office to work on my task and then all the sudden TATA a surprise from my colleagues! I was so touched by the cutest cake ever that I had ever received. Had a really sweet night tonight. Thank you guys for this, it really means a lot to me.

soon we will departs again, but it's a life cycle huh isn't? Its irony that how we meet and depart and meeting new people again. Thinking of this I am missing my old friends now. :C

It's been 1 year and a half since I last came back here, not too long, but i felt that it's been ages, and I can really tell there are changes, with places, people, friends...it feels so great to meet back all the people that u have memories with and share thoughts again.

Meeting my ex-colleagues yesterday, forget to take any picture because we chat too long and forget bout it hahaha, very unusual. But the entire scene just felt odd without Ceacer or we called him Sunshine because of his personalities, although I've only met him for 3 months long but he is a genuinely great guy, with good spirit and passion but it's too bad that he left us too early due to his sickness. I was touched by his courage on his process in battling with his cancer and at the same time did not letting his family projects down, it must been really tough for him and his family. As an architect, performer, designers, his courage, memories and shadow will always be with us. We pray that he is at a better place now.

Through him, I realized life is so short that we need to utilize it fully and do what we really wanted, and love and spent time with our loves one. I need to thank you WeiMing for sharing bout him with me, and I am glad that I'm the lucky one that my life has a point that cross path with u all, you all change the way I look at things now.

24 hours before hitting 2011 new year, I have so much to talk about about this year but I can't type it all out in here. Well, 2010 has been such a big changed, and I've definitely miss my friends, those that are at home and abroad. Working abroad with entirely new friends, and colleague still felt very alien to me, and somehow make me feel a bit homesick, just can't wait to get home and celebrate New Year with family again during new year.

One thing that I might regretting is that I will only go back to study after 2 years of work which also means I will be on my own on master with no old friends go through a tough time with me but I also wonder how would I survive in this firm for 2 years when in this 2 months time, I'm like becoming a zombie and a slave for the local client with massive of changed on a short amount of time. Guess this is the life that I had took, design and life does not come in together and easy. Am still wonder what will the life after 2010 will lead me. it's a year to get older and more responsibilities, and I hate it, it is annoyed but we need to go on with it. Time flies.

random thought: It felt so great looking at the CCTV at night, maybe it is what drives me to cont this road. A road that I always dream of.

This city is so massive that it's driving me crazy! I'm shattered in these few days in getting an accommodation. Seen through many apartments and they are seriously craps. Now, I understand why here has the shortest building lifespan, they dun care about the building, felt so sad even to look at these apartment which had been partitions into small rooms using dirty and ugly plywoods.
Choosing something between aesthetically pleasing or short distance but dirty/messy accommodation from work has been pretty much the chooses I have for the past few days and in the end I've chosen one that might be nice, but dirty apartment to stay in due to its short distance from work. (where is my sane??? I don't have a choice do I) not very familiar with the people and they seems like " I DUN CARE" attitude, (welcome to big city, owh,) I hope my perception will change when I stay in, but now I just don't have any choice. real tire move moving stuffs tomorrow!!!

finally the final submission is already over, everything is done for (all the sleepless nights, hardworks, etc... but the fact that I did not finish the presentation boards to the standard that is something that really disappointed. This has been an excuses for years and I kept making the mistakes but for now I don't want to reflect back any more ) and now only need to wait for the coming Thursday RIBA interview and I'm done with 3 years of architecture course, still need to amends bits on the model and drawings but just can't be bothered now. :D Right now, I just want to have a REALLY REALLY REALLY LONG holiday, architecture for 5 years has been a tiring journey.

Got back from Lake District and hopefully if I'm not lazy you will see them in this blog soon :)

Haven't update this blog for ages, and just got back from Ironman 2 movie after 2 days of continuous working, and TODAY'S CRIC IS FINALLY OVER YAY! and about my scheme, I think again I'm too long-winded and I talk too much, or too detail, but seriously I'm not sure when I'm talking too much, but somehow they say it is OK for everything... even though I din finish presenting them? kind of doubt? but those crics are really amazing, right now I will just cont. what I have done. (somehow I miss my very first initial apartment idea, wonder what this apartment will become, nvm.)

Anyhow, today Dunster leave us, I guess everyone gonna miss him. I miss him, although I'm not under him for my studio, I WISH I could though, somehow his urban studies lecture and the words when he cric people still fresh in my mind, very inspiring for a different perspective thinking. What's more for today is that, all the Big archi are here for the cric, not to miss out is C.J.LIM, and WE HAD A CHAT WITH HIM!!! James tell him about cel and my blog lol, I think my blog gonna be really famous even before I become famous architect (grin :D)

P/S: he given us new hope on UCL dream... (I hope he is not cheating us on this :D)

8 more hours and and I will be 23 years old.

I felt very old now not in physically but in mentally, and achieving nothing yet, felt deeply disappointed and tire with this long course. This whole 5 years have been a roller coaster and how I end up here to finish off one more month of architorture course now.

But somehow, the longer I study in this course the more I know the ugly side of it, all these excuse seems making me slag and slag more, It seems like I'm not as adventurous as I was used to be, and I seems din care much about things any more, and I forget bout things what architecture that used to make me happy, all these shit excuses but a simple blog just now inspires me, I shall now regain my energy and fight further, I need to be adventurous and be daring again, I need to fight for this, and the end of thing, I want to be what I aiming for.

Everything happened so fast and the 4 days Prague trip was ended. Thanks to Marcus Cheh, we could have a relax and enjoyable Prague moment.

I don't know that Eastern Europe has so much to offer, the views and the sceneries are just breathtaking. The castle and the small houses that built on the snowy mountains, the narrow streets, etc you just felt like you are in one of those fairy story world.

Gotten there on Saturday evening, we were surprised for our hostel was so cheap but it was so lux.The living hallKitchen BedroomWindows view that overlooking to the snowy mountains and roof scape.
The first night was nothing much but to explore our hostel area, since our location is at the centre of tourist spot, we then went to had our dinner in this small cozy underground restaurant.
Our dinning table is so nice because it's on top of an dry well, and you can look into the well
The restaurant is at the underground-9 weather was nothing for him, his songs were really romantic and touching.
The famous Prague's Charles Bridge with all the saints sculptures. (but this time it was so potong stim because they were having a renovation on the bridge, and so with all the scaffolding's you can not take a nice pic on it. F.)It's actually freezing cold today, and my lips are cracking...brrrrrFurther up the bridge the route will lead you to the castle on top of the hill

Basically our second day was ended with a dinner Japanese buffet, I know I know, its bit shame that u have Japanese buffet instead of Czech foods but well, we were too hungry and the one that we suppose to go to was too expensive to afford so ...:(The next day we went back to the famous Prague clock tower again, this clock is really amazing because it has several marks and it could precisely mark out the angle of the sun, the month of the year and the horoscope and all, it's really a masterpiece.

The second day was pretty a rush day because we need to buy all the pretty souvenirs for our friends and family and we needa go to join the local tour. The man with the red tag was called HUW he is really cool guy and he can really promote Prague history, love the way he told the Prague history and he is funny.Went to pretty lots of places and this tower, errr forget whats the name but it was used as a gun power and weapons trade point int he old days.This is a pretty building that uses the Cubist design every single details in it was Cubism inspired amazing aint. it?Jewish Synagogue
The last but not least was that we managed to get to this Gehry's Dancing Tower, the design is really "WOW" but too bad we din manage to get in :( sigh.... (p/s: actually I think this building is very much blend to the site and it isn't monsterous at all, that is my personal opinion.)The last thing that we did not miss was the apple strudle stall. This stall was claimed to be the best apple strudle stall in Europe, so if you do come to Prague never ever forget to come here to taste the strudles and seriously, they are amazing. No jokes.
We went out to had a dinner later in a suburb of Prague Zone 3 which was part of Marcus plan, but too bad the pictures aren't with me now, so you guys needa wait for a bit :( hahah there are lots of fun stuffs that happened at night but the pictures aren;t with me as well... so, everyone do pay attention to facebook pictures upload... and thru that you will love Prague for sure.. this place is just too romantic! ;)

Finally after all the hardworks, sleepless nights, and tension, it's all over now. Glad that had finished a better presentation board, at least this time I really do have " some time" for it, but shame that I do not finish a model. I hope this will not affect much on the marks though. :(

P/S : will be in Prague few more days, with Celdrick, Marcus, Cheryl, Li Hua and Sook Tin, can't wait ;)

SNOW . IT'S SNOWING !

It did not just snowed once, twice, but more than 3 times. I will never thought that this will ever happened in Liverpool, because Liverpool is near to river side and it can't get snow as often and as much as compare to others Uk cities. Though we are so so lucky, the entire streetscape covered with white colour, with the yellow lighting, the entire scence is just so nice.

we joined Marcus, Adeline, Elane, Seth and Maggi to built snowman and we had a awesome snowball fight too. Well as usual, I'm the one who always got blasted, shame because there isn;t anyone want to allie with me!

Can't wait for the coming Christmas and the Boxing day.

though the coldness freeze our fingers...it's so cold.

Choco Fountain and us (from the left : Li Hua, Sook Tin, Oscar, Marcus, Tao and I) This is a first time that I host someone from couchsurfing. I was in doubt if i wanted to host soemone since it is a holiday with assignments nd I never do it before but in the end I decided to give it a go.
Coming from Columbia, his name called Oscar and somehow he and us like have a "click"!!! :D and of course we had a long long night with everyone, with foods, with chatting, with a drunkky and crazy drinking game, it was awesome and a memorable experience.

was a real shock today when we woke up, the time was only 5 minutes away from the scheaduled train time to London.. It was a mad rush, and running from the house to the railway station in the super cold 5 am morning was like so crazy... SERIOUSLY NO MORE MORNING TRIP!
Anyway, we were to London to visits some building for History assignment. Tao and I went to Tate. To be honest, I am not impressed with Tate design, though I need to give credit for the architect for being humble while blending the new to the old, though I guess the new proposal for the Tate by Herzog is too monstrous.
Though we are lucky that we manage visit David Chipperfield exhibition which just started a few days ago... I'm not a very huge fan of him but some of his project on restoration projects are interesting, and we realized that we actually missed out his building in our Berlin trip... SHAME...=.=
my first trip to London was so short and for that I can't judge if I really like this city but I will defo. come for more in near future. ;)
